# AI Backtest Grades

### What AI Backtest Grades Does

The **AI Backtest Grades** section scores and ranks strategy test results.

It helps you quickly find the strongest parameter sets from your optimization results.

### Grade Last Test

Click **Grade Last Test** to score the latest tested rows.

AlgoPro ranks the best-performing settings based on the grading model.

### Download Top 10 CSV

Click **Download Top 10 CSV** to export your top results.

This is useful for:

* Saving the best settings
* Comparing tests later
* Keeping optimization records
* Sharing results
* Reviewing settings outside the extension

### Ask AI to Explain Grades

Click **Ask AI to Explain Grades** to have the AI review your graded results.

The AI can help explain:

* Why certain settings ranked higher
* What hurt a strategy’s grade
* Whether drawdown is too high
* Whether the strategy may be overfit
* Which settings look strongest
* What to test next

### Common Metrics Used in Grading

AlgoPro may use metrics such as:

```
Net Profit
Profit Factor
Max Drawdown
Sharpe Ratio
Sortino Ratio
Win Rate
Avg Win / Avg Loss
Total Trades
CAGR
```

### Understanding the Grade

A higher grade usually means the strategy had a better balance of:

* Profitability
* Risk control
* Smoothness
* Consistency
* Trade quality
* Sample size

A high grade does not guarantee future performance. It simply helps compare backtest results more efficiently.

### Best Practices

Do not choose a setting only because it has the highest grade.

Also check:

* Number of trades
* Drawdown
* Profit factor
* Whether results make sense
* Whether the strategy works on other timeframes or symbols
